Start with the Android app to create your vault, then add the browser extension to autofill on the web.

Android app

Install directly to your Android device. The app is the home of your vault — passwords, identity, addresses, payments. Browser extension sync is opt-in once you've signed in.

Download APK

Verify the download: run shasum -a 256 boxowl.apk — the output should match dl.boxowl.me/boxowl.apk.sha256.

Once installed, you'll be prompted to redeem your beta token on first launch.

Browser extension

The extension reads any form, asks you which fields to fill, and pulls them from your vault. Works on checkout, signup, contact, support — anywhere a form lives.

  1. Unzip the file to a folder on your computer.
  2. Open chrome://extensions (or your browser's equivalent).
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top right).
  4. Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
  5. Pin the BoxOwl icon to your toolbar.
On Mac, Windows, Linux, or iOS?

Redeem your beta token

Open the Android app. On first launch, you'll be asked for your registration token. If you don't have one yet, join the waitlist below.

Pick your handle

Your handle becomes your public profile at boxowl.me/u/{handle}. Handles are unique and permanent — choose carefully.

Add your first fields

Start with what you fill out most: an address, a card, your phone. The extension will pick them up immediately on the next form you visit.
